Pulled the trigger on a fishing kayak today. Time to explore some lowcountry back creeks.

Nice set up! Did you sell your other boat? Or just looking to get into those smaller creeks too?

Because paddling is so last century. Peddling is the new paddling. Goes to show you how much I pay attention to kayak development through the years.

Still have the 20 ft Islander. It is a lot of boat to deal with solo. So I pulled the trigger on the kayak for times I just want to fish solo or chase reds deep into the back creeks. Easy to load and easy to get home after being on the water. Future goal is to have the 20 ft Pioneer Islander and a Hewes 16 ft Redfisher. Kayak will help me fish shallow til then.

Makes it really nice to be able to still cast and reel while making way and not just blowing around aimlessly! I still paddle and it can be a pain when you make a long cast and the spot ends up behind you before you can reel it in.

I understand the utility of the feature, I just find it silly but my mind just goes to those tandem floating swan boats that you would see on a park lake. Get in some quality time with your significant other. It absolutely has utility if you're solo kayaking and trying to fish on a light boat that wants to drift with the slightest current or breeze.

Anyone in the Charleston area able to do some small welding jobs? I need my secondary cats cut out of the Y pipe and test pipes welded in.

Y not just buy the URD Y pipe? Also I would just say “I need something welded” and not I need help committing crimes punishable by the EPA.

He did state " test pipes", to be fair.
