hell no . Y'all have some fucked up tax laws there. My mom hates it. She wants to move back to South Carolina. Can't stand North Carolina taxes and filing them

gonna be visiting Charleston see how it is
Have a work opportunity there just don’t know if it’s worth over NC (currently in NC)

for example supposedly in or near Charlotte is bigger
    Larger financial industry
though that is not what I work in

    am a mechanic though
Maybe those people will buy the car and pay for work.
    Gonna research it more

SC is permitless carry which sounds nice. Don’t know why NC isn’t.
But that isn’t always a sole determiner to be somewhere.

for example AZ is also 2A.
and it can also be a 115deg landlocked desert furnace been there done that

North Carolina has vehicle inspections, so I can't live there. I'm really good at making things not pass tests.

    yes
As a mechanic who knows what is roadworthy and what half decent driving skill is

the idea of paying money state mandated to have Cleetus try and upsell work on it, is not appealing

I live in Charleston. Summerville it's okay but definitely overcrowded and a lot of traffic. I'm as well as a mechanic and the shop foreman at the shop I'm at. There is definitely work here. I know a lot of shops that are hiring that need good mechanics, diesel and gas and we just recently became constitutional Carrie but I would still suggest having your cwp though. Just cuz it covers you in other states that accepts it

Add Sumter county and Clarendon county to that list.

I used to love to visit Charleston. Not anymore. Traffic is a pain the whole way from Columbia, then you get there and massive amounts of people. It's just not fun anymore.

BUT the best BBQ in the country comes from that region so there is that.

CHAS is continuing to grow in every direction. Not nice anymore.

I ALWAYS get BBQ from Scumter when I'm in. Can't find a local place that does has like there.

If I'm slumming in Manning, might as well go to the good ones in Scumter :D

I can find good BBQ (pulled pork and brisket) in CHAS, but all of their hash sucks.

I’d throw Richland, Dorchester, Berkeley, and charleston county on there too. Taxes are crazy and drugs and crime have been on the rise for a while. Don’t go into North Charleston without a gun. Especially near hanahan or the south side of N Charleston.

Scott's in Hemingway was/is considered the best in the country. Both the mom and dad passed away and it's finally reopened. Haven't been since then so I can't tell you if it's the same. But McCabe's is just as good or maybe even better than Scott's. Maybe go slumming one day and check it out.
