It's far away but down in FL the apalachicola national forest has straight soft sand roads with little whoops for miles. Some of the funniest driving I've done in my life. You can easily float across them at 60 mph.

It's on the table until I find a better option

I used to live in Florida. Wheeled Ocala national Forest all the time. Similar terrain. They have sandy woops for miles at a time. Absolute blast. Was out there in the 2012 timeframe on one of the trips. Thought I was doing well, bouncing through it all in the 60-70 mph range, when a legitimate trophy truck flew past me likely over 100mph. Ran into them later in the day. Guy lives on a ranch in Ocala and trucks everything out west once a year for a bunch of races. I'll certainly go down that way once everything has at least baseline valving and spring combo worked out. It would allow me to really find tune, but likely a waste to go before that.

Ha! I think you'd have better luck finding some train tracks. Not much in the way of jumps in the FM except for deep ruts filled with water.

I use to jump a lot of shit. Adam has had to replace a few parts on my truck due to my desire of catching air. :burnrubber:

Urban jumping or what? I figure the potholes here will suffice for "whoops". Probably rougher actually.

Whoa whoa whoa. My neck of the woods.

My dad lived in the edge of Ocala NF, we ran airboats on Lake George, and pontoons up and down the St John’s.

I do not miss the sugar sand of Florida.

I was in Melbourne, but frequented Ocala, citrus, and a few other spots.

The terrain diversity available in Ocala is incredible. All 4 of these photos were taken in Ocala. Crazy to think the first one is 100 miles from the ocean. Everyone like - FlOrIdA iS sO fLaT

Didn't even tell you about the naval bombing practice range in the middle of the forest. You can drive around the square shaped trail outside the circle. There's a 12 foot tall barbed wire fence just inside the square trail. We heard they were doing live ordinance practice vs the normal dummy bombs. Was super cool to see the planes fly over and subsequently hear and feel each explosion...... until some navy pilot MISSED and literally almost blew us up. Probably had about 30 trucks at that meet. Never seen so many guys on bilstiens 5100s blowing through woops like they had long travel, running away from that fire

Last photo is the fire still burning later that night as seen from our campsite a few miles away. 2011 cell phone photo....so pixels lol.

Old rock quarry site within ocala. Locals referred to it as "Alpha Pit". Decent rock crawling, and lots of elevation change

I part timed as a bike mechanic during my days in Florida, raced and everything under the sponsorship of my shop, but regrettably never rode Ocala. Always heard it was fantastic, but with a 3 hour drive, all of my trips there were for off road meets. Never found the time to break away from the group and ride, but really wish I had.

That’s some really interesting terrain. Never thought they had that in Florida. I lived in Cape Coral for a year and half.
