Any of yall know if any Father’s Day sales that would include those fancy 12v Iceless coolers? The damn Ryobi one peaked my interest in them again by adding the battery powered option too.

You mean a refrigerator? The "iceless coolers" that use a peltier circuit only cool about 30F below ambient. The refrigerators use actual compressors and go to like -5F

Either one really. Although the ones with compressors would be a preference. I need to go back and double check and See if the ones with battery capabilities is compressor driven or peltier.

On a side note, anyone ever gotten an email from DHL stating that you owe import duties on things you ordered? Ordered a few parts from partsouq and DHL is saying I owe them $245 in import fees. Fairly certain I’ve never gotten that bill before and I’ve ordered from partsouq before.

You got me curious myself. I was surprised the battery operated Ryobi says it'll cool down to -4°

Yea, right? Apparently the brass monkey brand larger cooler can operate on everything including solar. I know you could always have solar hooked up to a jacket type thing and run it that way, but this one looks like it allows straight solar ops. Ran across this on the reddits and opened me up to even more options. I already have a few Ryobi batteries though which is why I started looking for Ryobi.

Was the US in the same tariff regime we have now the last time you ordered from them?

Nope. But there’s always been import duties right? They’ve just increased? Or were some added altogether? Definitely would have saved money buying from here had I known about an extra 250 on top of the shipping. Live and learn I guess.
