I'm headed to Rapid City next weekend. Any where I should hit up for some good food? Never been to SD before.

I'm sure the guys that live on that side of the state will have better input than me. I know whenever I'm there I like to eat at Buffalo Wings and Rings. There are plenty of other more local places to eat too, but I'll let the locals suggest those.

I will say this.... if you find yourself in Hill City around dinner time, the Alpine Inn is possibly #1 on my list of favorite places to eat.

Enjoy the trip, the area is beautiful.

I really like this curry place. Awesome food. The west-side one is totally casual- Subway style. Go through the line, pick out your food, pump your own soda, etc. There are a few tables. I haven't been to the downtown one.

Black hills burger and bun ℅ is excellent in Custer! Sugar shack is a black hills favorite, however their neighbor on 385 is WAY better IMO cousins pizza is at least a weekly stop for me. If you can I would recommend moonshine gulch saloon in rochford. Food is ok beer is ... Minimal selection. But the place is incredible!

Speaking of rochford..I know some people that might be opening up a new microbrewery right near moonshine gulch!

Definitely head to Alpine Inn. I took everyone who ever visited Rapid up there and it was everyone's favorite. You also better like German beer and filet mignon.

But how are the Harley riders going to make it back there?! Oh wait, that's probably the point.

Then you'll love it. You get 2 choices for dinner. Choice of drink and a 6 or 9 oz filet. Bring cash.

They're the only reason I'm glad I'm not there anymore. They do a good job of killing themselves off though.

Yeah I can imagine it getting pretty over whelming. I've always wondered if it helped the local economy though.

Ha, not to get deep into the economics of the black hills, but yeah, tourism in general (not just bikers) is a huge money maker. You'll notice a distinct lack of anything being open over the winter months.
