Same and the price has come down so much it’s almost a non issue anymore with the base gobies around $1509

45% off on a new one is pretty good. Jackson is a good name in fishing kayaks.

We didn't get nearly as much rain as we were expecting which was nice. The boys had a lesson in how not to then how to correctly set up their tents.

They are made in TN and are one of the last remaining Kayak companies that didn't get bought out by Wilderness Systems. Still family owned and ran. They didn't get into the kayak fishing scene by converting some of their regular SOT kayaks but hired on people who kayak fish and pros to develop their fishing yaks. They make a really high quality good product. When I was shopping it was either going to be a Hobie or Jackson. All the other although they are nice seem to charge a lot for what you get and I don't think they are as nice or as well thought out as the JKs or Hobies.

@ovrlndkull I can put you on the attendees list on first post? Seems like the tentative plan (all up to Joe) is to fish in Charleston for a day and work our way down towards Beaufort/HHI.

not offshore - but I met a pretty cool fella a few weeks ago that does/runs and inshore charter fishing company - lots of red fish.
He's actually sponsored by Key West - was picking up a brand new badass center console that day..
I got his card if that looks like something people are interested in.
