Will do! You’re the second person that has offered to buy it in two days lol. One guy saw it in the background of these two dogs I rescued and posted on the local fb ground :rotlf:

Yes! I will be hooking up the boat soon. Had a late night, won a poker tournament and didn’t get home until 3 am

Damn I'm glad NC isn't like that. Needing launch permits and cast net permits that's crazy.

I use to keep what is essentially a commercial light fishing permit for NC so that I could have more than one crab pot out and they be on boyous instead of anchored to land. NC is pretty lax in the hunting and fishing aspects compared to a lot of states.

Gheenoes are kinda hard to find around here for a reasonable price  especially without holes in the floor...

There is a small dealer here in Apex, NC. They are just a bait and tackle store but sell gheenoes as well. First time I was introduced to them. They are a rare breed up here. I see them more in the river systems down by the coast guys using them to run catfish lines. They are perfect for the small creeks and slews down east.

OK, I am down in FL, but down to buy a second hand kayak. I absolutely don't want a Hobie, they are great for some things, but awful where I live.
I bought a brand new Pro Angler 17T, but I get back into those skinny salt creeks and flats boats are flying by me on plane, and I can barely move because by drive fins are hitting the bottom.
So I want to get a couple 12 footish standard paddling kayaks. Something that is durable and common and not gonna cost me a nut... my truck already cost me a nut, and I only have one left and can't afford to give it up.
    Recommendations?

Vibe kayaks. They have a 13 and 11. Running under $900!

I’m debating them over a used ascend that I’m hoping to get super cheap.

JK Coosa, Wilderness Tarpon, there are a ton out there just gotta look. If there is a dealer near you that does test paddles I would suggest that. I found in paddling many styles and types of kayaks some just tend to be more comfortable to me than others even though the others are just as good.

Just moving this conversation back to here to keep others updated that may not be in the fucktard thread...

Keep in mind that Tybee (charter) is 2.5 to 3 hours from Scooter.

Edisto but the roads between scooter and I are far inland so even getting out to edisto is a good drive because you’d have to make your way back out to the coast.

Lots of good fishing as you can see...but navigating by land takes some time.

You can see Tybee furthest south then HHI, Beaufort, Edisto, etc. to Charleston as you go north...but look at how the roads are to navigate. For example, if you were to go from Beaufort to Charleston via 21 and 17, it’ll take you about 1.5 hours.

You need to pull up the google earth view of the Savannah, Charleston area! It's like the coast of NC all islands rivers, creeks, inland waterways, marshes etc.!

Since 9/11 they shut down my route from sneads ferry to Atlantic beach area as civilians they use to give us a pass to use the state hwy. But now we have to go around so now instead of a 45 min drive it's almost 2. There is a lot of driving inland to go N-S then back out to the coast to get anywhere. @Blackout14 this is the way it is pretty much from S. Va all the way to N Ga. Then you hit the Okefenokee and Fl which has it's own set of navigational challenges by car. Boat is the way to ride to get anywhere on the coast in these areas.

You've gotta convince the wife to move down south! If you can convince her to come visit all us true southerners can show her the southern hospitality and she'll want to stay. At which point you will no longer be a Yankee but a damn yakee
