My Cuda I can open the center hatch in front of my feet and shove a battery under the deck. I was thinking of taking some measurements in there and getting some small deep cell sealed battery under there. I may or may not run a motor but I am working on a way to run the factory rudder and a power pole. The back deck of the cuda has a cut out and 4 nutcerts molded in for the powerpole

Assuming that’s a lead acid battery, you don’t want to consume more than 80% of its capacity...or 24ah.

I would think so for a “little” plastic one-man boat.

That would be interesting in a Hobie PA hitting some of the rapids!

@Blackout14 want to stay a couple minutes from the Knowles Island Pier? This place is in Palm Key which is on the marsh and right before Knowles Island. Keep in mind there is literally nothing out there so if grabbing a bite or a few beers by going out, you’d be better off in town.

Down to fish it...don’t know how I feel about sliding, bouncing, and/or dropping into anything to fish.

I’m down to try anything once but I’m getting to be an old man!

I don't think I have the guts to do that anymore. Having a child has changed my risk assessment ways. The lower green is pretty tame that paddleboarders go down and stuff. There is supposedly some pretty good flyfishing on it.

If I only knew how to use all this fly fishing gear I have...

I’ve been wanting to take the 2 day Orvis fly fishing school down here. May need to get serious about that. @SC2SC wasn’t it you who I spoke with about this?

I know the basics and can do fine from a bank at a pond where there is no wind and nothing around me. I need to get some fly gear and work on it more. I really just want to fly for some reds and trout. Then one day hit FL during the tarpon run and fly for one of them monsters. Fly fishing for little trout doesn't really excite me.
