    Not Enough.
Well... Life happened and I've been way too busy to even think about Tacoma World. Which makes me sad.

What doesn't make me sad is that I may finally get a weekend off this weekend. Last one I had was around the middle of December.

Might just end up on the beach. Haven't decided yet.

I might actually be down there one of those weekends too. If you see a blue Tacoma with an ARB bumper, a Softoppe, and "FSH12S" on the tags stop and say hi.

I'm actually planning on building a off-road teardrop to replace my 30 year old pop-up camper that's unfortunately met it's demise. Mainly because I'm tired of losing a day of fishing at the beach. It's only about 3.5 hours to home, the campground wants me out by 11 AM, then I've got a pop-up hooked to the truck, and I can't exactly drag it on the beach with me. I end up back home around mid afternoon when I could still be fishing. So, a small teardrop with some 255s should solve my problem just fine.

I wanna catch a big ass tarpon... I'm on the way.

If that ever happens, let me know. I'm not far from some decent spots around here, and at the current moment, I do have a small bass boat.

Last May, didn't have much luck with Sand fleas, just could not find the motherload, found them here and there, the best luck with Gulp, the artificial sand fleas, shrimp, and the finger mullet, nailed Puppy Drum in the south Inlet and Flounder everyday with my 7'6" ugly stick intercoastal and my 10' ugly stick. Up to the north caught skate, a few Pompano, and numerous Pin Fish, used them for bait also. Caught a few small Blues also. In August, just before Labor Day, the Blue fish where everywhere, clouds of bait balls up and down the beach, just took a few days to get them to hit anything in my tackle box. Tried Clark spoons, Hopkins, had a few caught on Storm baits just casting into the surf, caught one 26" Blue at the North Inlet just at the drive net on a 6" Pin fish and a Floating double hook rig. Caught numerous Flounder all across the South Inlet and near the cabins to the south in the surf. Only about 8 keepers, but caught well over 30 flounder between 3 of us, caught a few Lizard fish, skate, croaker, and small Blues along the beach also. I've been surf fishing for more than 20 years all along the Outer Banks and this spot has my attention forever. All the flounder tended to hit on drop offs in the sound all day. Jigging gulp baits and caught alot of bait fish at the end of dune road to the south. After I get my RTT in the next few weeks, I'm going to look into getting a kayak for these trips also, there is alot of sound fishing holes that can't be accessed from the land. Google Earth shows alot of drop offs and bars which change all the time, but we also took a green drop light to the ferry dock at night and caught alot of bait fish also with our cast net. Trying further south in May, 23-28 Cape Lookout bound. Just watch out for the raccoons at night, lock up your bait and coolers, my kids caught a half bucket full of ghost crabs the first night and the raccoons had my cutting board on my rack as a buffet table, ate everyone the kids caught that night, the people next door had all there bait eating out of a cooler they had also. And they are alittle too friendly, we had one come up on the deck of the cabin in August and literally walked right up to me with in inches and I had to show it away with a broom. They are scavengers of the island. Watch your trash too. Hope this helps, the Ferry folks at Atlantic are really nice folks also, you just have to listen to the captain when you back on the ferry. Privately owned and operated. Awesome time both times last year, this year will hopefully be better.

Can do! I'll be in a dark grey 2nd gen with a hard shell and roof rack, possibly toting two kayaks on top.

On your trip, we doing a day in the Charleston area?

If doing both days in Beaufort/HHI, we should consider fishing Fripp Inlet one of the days you’re down here as long as conditions are favorable. Fripp Island is private and can’t get on it without a pass but we could put in on the Hunting Island side of the inlet. Even Shelter Cove if it’s too rough for Fripp Inlet.

Your trip buddy...I just want to fish with ya! Still lots of time until then so we’ll leave it open until it’s much closer. I just figure you’d want to get closer to the ocean if not on it.

I might be going to Kurr Beach late March or Early April. If anyone is in the area and knows the honey holes. I've only surf fished ocean side across from Fort Fisher. I plan on taking the kayaks and fishing the sound side but will have the surf rods as well.

Sounds like you’ll be having a blast this spring!

If you want your fishing plans/info on the first post, let me know and give me the specific details so I can post it!

I’ll have to see about catching up with you another time up there...my April is jam packed.

Sure, you can add it up there. Hatteras is tentative at this point but these are my plans. April 6th-8th hitting Kure beach and being in Hatteras the weekend of April 20th (my alternate is the 27th-29th) The 4th of July I'm always fishing Oyster Bay/Long Island sound on the kayak. I go for a few days before and after the holiday for those who may be in the area.

Edit: Confirmed with my place to stay, going to Kure Beach April 6th after work and fishing the 7th/8th.
