Little bit foggy out here, waiting for it to burn off. And my fishing partner just wants to sleep.

Forgot the "mandatory dramatically artistic fishing photo".

I’d do the HD cart for sure and not worry about the sand tires. ACK is the best deal on Hobie stuff but if you plan to buy more than one Hobie branded accessory, buy them all at once. ACK has to charge the “Hobie shipping” but they only charge $5 per order whereas Mariner charges per piece with the larger/heavier stuff costing more.

    Thank you sir. :D

Here's another edit I think I'm actually going to have put on canvas for the wall at the house. I'm really digging it.

    IMG_20180224_090422.jpg

Fishing was garbage. Fighting a rising tide and a W/SW wind that came out of nowhere and kicked the surf up. Could barely cast out to the trough between the bar and the beach.

But I mean, I sat on a beach all day so, I'm not complaining.

About to pack up and head back out and try it again for a few hours before I start heading back north.

It's one of the major reasons I bought it. Never figured I'd put armor all over it. Planned on a little lift and wide tires and wheels for the beach. Then Tacoma World happened.

But I also do like trail riding and camping in the mountains, so I figured I'd just build it for both.

Got a plan in my head for an easily removable, lightweight rack to go over the Softopper to carry the surf poles down here next time. It's getting old having to break them down to move spots. I'll share that with everyone when it comes time to build.

I think you'd be better off with one of the ascends from basspro. I would go with the 12t ascend personally. I think you get a lot more bang for the buck with the ascend. But then the vibe is not that much more which looks to be an even better yak than the ascends.

Don’t know...just thought the “custom seat” was interesting. If you want more space on deck for gear but also want to save money for a pedal drive, maybe a Lifetime Tamarak Angler?

I just wonder how sturdy that thing is. Just seems a little high up to be sitting! One wrong move and I’d fall out!

    :frusty:

Well I didn't figure you would want to fish all day, then at night and be up again before dawn to fish again.

    Sounds like eat & drink.

I have done the quiting thing a bunch too. Yesterday was the first day I smoked more than 5 in a day. I am weening myself off them right now.

My daughter has mentioned a few times recently about smoking and I don't want her to so I gotta be a good influence at least once right!?
