They were pretty much a NC thing for a long time but then like with you people started discovering them. My star rods are some of my favorites. I have an old ultra light with a tiny 1000 series spinning reel the most fun red/trout set up I have!

Brown santa always creeps me out wearing shorts all yr and not having a beard.

That thing looks nice! Will that one split screen at all or too small?

Yup...screen can be configured multiple ways. I think it’ll go so far as a 3-way split (half on one side & two quarters on the other).

Once you get it hooked up and can mess with some of that let me know how well the split is and what not. If it's good and the size is good I may go with that over the 7

Cool. I have not really seen any set ups on people's yaks for some reason they don't put them on or the lake fishermen don't, and I don't really trust online typed reviews too many shills. So I would rather gather first hand experience from someone I feel I could trust. What I am looking at is essentially the same just a wee bit bigger so it's not really comparing options but just screen size.

I think it's time for some new ones there buddy LOL I had gotten to where I couldn't put anything in the pockets of my work pants for fear of loosing them. Wouldn't have been good if I had to run.

    Noooooo :duel:

Capers Island sounds fun. Free primitive camping (with DNR permit), only way there is by water, 5 mile paddle/pedal from IOP Marina (would be easy with the tide), etc.

Not that bad if you ride the tide...it moves so fast you pretty much just have to keep your heading and let it take you.

Wuss. We took the boys and did a canoe trip on the Okefenokee swamp that was 40 miles in 3 days and Merchants mill pond last summer that was ~ 5 miles to the campground but we paddled around for a bit. I routinely go 10+ miles paddling my yak all over fishing.

Yeah if you fish the whole time while you are moving. I typically fish a spot cover a few hundred yrds of shore line or whatever if I'm not catching anything move on. On something like that I would just paddle/peddle to the campground set up camp and unload then go out and fish in an emptyish boat.
