    This website says 35 miles to the Gulf Stream and based on my experience that would be more accurate, but I'm no expert by any means.

    But that's what I really want to do. I've been inshore/mid shore a bunch of times and only off shore a handful. I love catching mahi!!!

    Wait the obx of NC or down near Dan again?

    Also if y'all want to do an Alaskan trip I have connections there possibly free places to stay/camp. Best way to get fish/meat back from a place is to freeze it and ship it with dry ice. Much easier than the plane thing.
