From here 4,771 Miles, 79 hours

The route I'd rather take is closer to 5,127 Miles and 83 hours tho...Go up through Texas, Colorado, and Utah before hitting Canada. Would be about 10-12 days driving wach way depending on stops and sights... At 18mpg average, that would be 569.67 gallons of gas and cost right above $2000 in fuel alone. Factoring in oil changes before you left, when you got there, and on return, along with other misc fluid changes and whatnot to get you ready for the trip, you're looking right around $2500, plus the cost of a month worth of food for those in attendance, and the expense of leaving work for a month.

If I ad $5,000-$6,000 just laying around, I'd do it...

Let me check my cup holder.. :D

That is SO true. This is a very beautiful country. You can choose anything from beaches to mountains & tropical to cold climates & deserts. I always tell my wife that if we had the time I would love to drive the entire country. My more realistic "bucket list" is to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway from Alabama to Virginia. I-10 from Jacksonville to L.A & the Pacific coast Highway to the Canadian border. I-40 from North Carolina to California. Also, America's first Highway, The Lincoln Highway. It runs from Times Square to San Francisco.

Most fun thing my fiancé and I did was fly to Las Vegas for a week and a half about 2 years ago. While there, we rented a mustang convertible and drove to the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, and Grand Canyon. Whole trip cost us like $1500. Would totally recommend it to anyone that wants to go out that way.

yeah we flew into Vegas then did the Hoover Dam Too. We took the Dam tour...haha. Anyway, We spent a few days at the Grand Canyon and rented one of the cabins there. They were only like 20-30 bucs a night. Best vacation I ever had and words cannot describe the Canyon.....Unfrekin real. In a couple of years We are going back and my son and I are going to hike to the bottom and campout for a couple of days. Should be fun.

That's the only thing I wish I would have done was spend a night or two there to see more. The canyon cannot be fully absorbed in a day...
