    * That truck would be a beast!!!!!!

    * Winch & pulley set-up. I've thought about that too. If I go that route I will be asking you for some advice, I'm sure.

    * Hope to see that diff in action for Citrus.

    * As for the exhaust, that's the thing about modding in general.... SO MANY CHOICES!
My PreRunner has had take-off shudder which lessened, but didn't disappear, when I installed the Toytec 3 degree shims. I have 3.5"'s of lift on the rear. The shudder doesn't bother me at all because it is only on take-off & depending on how aggressive you take off. Sometimes I don't even feel it.

    Dan,
    Check out this thread:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...-bearing-vibration-thread-72.html#post7913892
I first commented on Page 72, post #1432.

I need to do more research but obviously I have time since this is a good year or more away for me but this could help you now. it doesn't seem to be as bad as I first read. My main concern was damaging the diff but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I may not go as high on my next truck as I did with this one. Maybe 5100's @ .85 with 1/4" ToyTec spacers on both sides (no taco lean with OEM springs) which actually gives you almost 1.5"'s & a 1.5" AAL in the rear but time will tell.

Tell me what you think once you've read that.

Mine does it as well usually when, im giving the truck a good
Amount of throttle. Have been thinking about taking it to the
    Dealer to check it out.

But from everythin i have read on the forum about it. Everyone
Says its due to the crappy leaf springs. So i dont think there is
Much the dealer will do about it

This is what I can't understand:
2nd gen is going on 9 years of production & except for some minor interior/exterior changes it has basically remained the same. Engine & chassis are pretty much identical. Yet, the '13's seem to have the same issues that the '05's have. Shouldn't Toyota have gotten this fixed by now? It's bad enough that they are pretty sensitive to even a mild lift but vibes @ stock height?

I wonder if this will be addressed when ever they decide to remodel these? 3rd gen I guess? Even then I probably won't buy the 1st year model. I'll probably wait a year or 2 after. It shouldn't be this way though.

What is the issue with the 2013 model? I recently purchased one. Had a guy tell me at Christmas Eve service that he had a 13' and after about 5k miles his engine started knocking so he got rid of it and got a 14'.

I don't know about engine knocking, that's a worst case scenario.
But the vibration honestly doesn't really bother me.

It's a truck, not a corolla. So you really can't expect the two to have
the same ride quality. Just my opinion

That makes sense. As long as nothing gets damaged. I have head take-off shudder for over 1.5 years now on my PreRunner & drove over 20,000 miles this year alone & no issues. I just don't know how different it is from the 4WD's.

Mine is the same way. At first I was curious, but it's only when I floor it. Doesn't seem like anything is particularly wrong that will cause any issue.

That's the same exact thing that happens with my 2013. I really don't think it is
anything serious. Either way I'll probably contact the dealer to see if there is any
recalls for it, but that will be after the citrus meet of course.

    Well,
I went to Costco this evening to buy some meat for grilling tomorrow & I bought 1 pack of (2) Motorola 2-Way Radios for $69.99. Comes with a Carrying Case & 2 Carabiners. I don't know what Carabiners are since I haven't opened the package yet but what ever they are, it's there. HAHAHA!

Tac1 make sure you charge them.
I had to charge mine when we got them.

We should split them up between us for
The drive up so we can contact each other
Better. I have two and i can lend one to
Someone that doesnt have a 2way

I am a little late to the party but the wife picked me up a truck tent for Christmas. The parents followed it up with a Ruger Mark III 22 LR pistol that matches my Ruger Mark III 7 mag rifle. Hunting in a few days will be a blast :D

Anyone know of someone looking to sell their roof rack?
