How realistic is to try and get a lift installed at one of these? Hoping to get moving on one within the next couple of months, but not sure if its smarter to save install to try and get this done at a mod day, or pay the extra money to get it installed at a shop for the sake of being to go back to that shop if something is wrong etc...

Very likely. Several suspension swaps have been accomplished on mod days at Zach’s place. Mine being one, and I’m sure there been more that I’m not aware of.

Whether you can wait for a mod day to be scheduled, and can coordinate your own schedule, is up to you.

Thanks for the info, is something like the Headstrong kits fairly well priced? https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/p312/Coil/Bilstein_5100_Kit_w/_Dakars_(HS05BK-1-Dakar).html

Or is it better to try a buy each piece separately. Not looking for anything crazy, 2"-2.5" of lift

Let me preface by saying I support and buy from local/forum vendors before other sources. I’ve found they typically offer competitive pricing and superior knowledge and customer service than that of others.

With that being said, you might be able to source better pricing by piecing a kit together from other places. If you wanna spend the time and effort, you may find it’s worth it to you. For me, I’ve found that the minimal savings weren’t worth the effort on most items I was shopping for. Not to mention I have more faith in HS, DownSouth, or Wheelers being able to answer questions or address any after purchase issues than I do places like 4wheelparts or some other off the wall website.

I’m sure there are tons of other credible sites that may have great prices. The choice is yours.

Oh and the kit you referenced is a solid alrounder turn key kit. Lots of folks run the 5100s and Dakar’s, separately or together.

Been pretty dang busy myself. Might have sold my M3 to one of the guys on this forum so at least I'm making room in the garage. Will keep an eye out for the next mod day.

If you can get the shocks with the coils preinstalled we could literally do suspension at mod day within an hour or less. We did a suspension swap on my truck in like 30mins. (just front and rear shocks, no leaf packs)

Why would you ever sell your M? My e90 will always have a spot in the stable. Every time I get in it, which isn't that often, I grin from ear to ear when that V8 fires up and the cold start kicks in. What year do you have? Mine is an '11.

Got some firearm training today boys. Still so much to learn. Preciate all the gun owners patience that I've met so far.

I did way better with the rifle. If i ever had to shoot anything that's what i would want. I'm left eye dominant so the pistol was really difficult to dial in. My right eye is blurry so had a tough time keeping both eyes open. Need to work on it.

I can pencil in the mod day. Might be a good day to install my TRD Pro kit that has been sitting in its box for 2 months. :annoyed:

I'm down. Would be cool to meet the crew. I just picked up some TC gusseted spindles from a TW Member. Do you guys think if I bring the beverages we can get them installed on the Mod day with the AAL's?
