I'm in for a day trip if not something overnight. It'll depend on if the wife is coming or not.

I think I can get on the mountain any day but Saturday for free, but I need to figure out which resorts I can go.

I think most of us will want to board on a Saturday though.

I'm thinking, getting into Tahoe Friday afternoon/evening, BS in town, gamble etc, then the next day hit the slopes right when it opens. And then party it up Saturday night, go home Sunday. Or for some of the hardcore boarders, hit the slopes Friday and Saturday, then go home Sunday. How does that sound to folks? Most cabins require at least a 2 night minimum anyway.

Also, I think I'm going to go ahead and minimize it to South Lake Tahoe, leaving Heavenly and Sierra as the resorts to choose from. There's a bunch more cabins in that area, and just more shit to do in town.

Northstar, Squaw and Homewood do free for military. I'm not sure about the others. Those are just the ones I've boarded at.

Are the Heavenly passes going to work at NorthStar again this year? I was thinking that was just last year. Hope I'm wrong!

I vote for south shore definitely.

Yes, the season pass for northstar also works at heavenly. Both resorts are now owned by vail resorts so in addition to using the pass at northstar and heavenly, you can also use your season pass at 5 resorts in colorado.

The heavenly pass does the same thing so you can also use it at northstar.

the basic one you can use at both heavenly and northstar but has restricted days and you can;t use at northstar on saturday.

I got the next pass up because you can use at northstar 7 days a week.

just remember it sees like a lot of money up front but lift tickets were $92 for a day pass last year!!!!

So there's no more triple wammy pass anymore? Sierra, Northstar, and Heavenly? Or was that a one year wonder?

Hell yes! If we can get it planned out far enough in advance, my wife and I may drive up from Vegas. I've been to many resorts but never tahoe. Wouldn't mind scratching it off the list! Lol

Just a one year wonder....Right before last season started, northstar was bought by vail resorts which also owns heavenly. Sierra was the odd resort out but since they had the double whammy pass going with sierra and northstar, they decided to honor it.

So, this year it heavenly and northstar together. I think sierra teamed with kirkwood and one resort up north but i can;t remember at the moment. ( but its definitly one resort in the north sierra.)
