I never used a helmet. Then last year I hit my head on a rail and when I went to tell my buddy I was ok, he said it was like I was speaking way slow and not pronouncing words right. So to put it lightly I scared the shit outta myself and now where a helmet. Lol. But ice, trees, other skiers boarders, and even just hard packed snow can do some damage to your skull. A helmet is a wise idea. May not look fashionable but it'll save your life. Plus you can NEVER trust someone elses ability to get down the mountain. I've seen more people get hurt from other people hitting them then anything else.

I caught an edge flew 10 feet forward, and when I landed my board whipped around with a backbend and smacked right into my neck, yeah I was scared.
