Wow. How many times has South Park bashed Christianity and Judaism? Numerous. Woodland Critter Christmas anyone?

Why is the show, the network, and the producers bowing to Islam?! They are what, 2% of the US population?!?! But they are free to bash Christianity when 70% of the US considers themselves Christian?! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!

This is more proof how "peaceful" Islam is. Live and let live, right, Mohammad? Oh right, death to infidels.

I thought it made the episode better. Like they were making fun of how censored everything about the Muslim religion is.

 

Its not southpark its the big wigs at Comedy Central who do the cencering. Trey & Matt don't have much say to what is aired after they present the episode to there bosses

In the 14 years we’ve been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn’t stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn’t some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle’s customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn’t mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We’ll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we’ll see what happens to it.

The US gov't doesn't negotiate with terrorists (though they do supply them with weapons, drugs and money.. go figure.) Comedy Central is not the US gov't.. Hell I think they're run by Canadians...

 

Well, this is how I see it:

Matt and Trey are artists, they could give a rats ass if someone gets offended - it's just art.

Comedy Central is a business. They make money. Sure a little controversy over the decency (or not) of South Park is a good thing for them.. publicity! But an all out Jihad might be a bad thing for business. After all this group was so upset over this they basically threatened to kill Matt and Trey. Now that definitely wouldn't be in Comedy Central's best interest.. after all it's a pretty damn funny show - bet it makes them a lot of dough. So, anyway they did what they did because profit was their motive. Not morals or the concern over offending some group. After all most folks don't get so offended they announce they'll be coming down there to kill everyone. The Christians would just pray for you

The show has enough of a following for them to tell them to go to hell when the contract is up for renewal next season. All they need to do is stream them online with add support to pay for it all. I bet they end up making more, not less doing that.
