Cool. My wife and I drove up Ntl Forest road then west at Kelley Strand Rd in the middle of last summer. I was in Stratton on Business and came back that way, past grout pond but some of the Forest roads were closed due to the hurricane. Beautiful location.

Hope the roads are open (i have not been up since fall)

We might be able to make, our dog would love it. Might only be for the day or one night. It is only a 90 minute drive from Albany to there so we can make it pretty easy.

Anyone one if a VT is happy with a NY fishing license? or if they want you to buy a vt one.

    Anyone interested in mountain biking-

Do not plan to ride whatever you already have at the ski resort. If you've never heard of "downhill mountain biking" I suggest you look it up on YouTube.

If you think that is too extreme for you and just want to ride your bike on the forest service roads, that is fine too.

Just wanted to make sure were on the same page.

I probably won't be there till Friday night, so I won't have time to kayak and bike, so I'll decide based on the weather. If its hot, I'll kayak. If its raining, I'll kayak. If its cool and dry, I'll bike.

How serious are the trails there? I don't have a downhill bike, but it ain't Walmart stock either. I can definitely handle some downhill action, just need to know if rental is required.

If so, I'm out. $100 bucks is quite a lot.

That can buy a couple extra cases of beer and some more ammo for the AR...
Got a new(to me) HK usp 45 that needs to broken in as well

Well i used to ride a pretty nice full suspension cross country bike downhill, and after paying to rebuild it each time I finally decided $100 for a rental that is designed for that type of riding and I dont need to fix, is a great deal.

I just checked mount snow's website. They have an afternoon special- 2pm-4pm for $60. Bike rental and lift ticket included.

    Or

Full day rental and lift- $100

Did ya'll miss my earlier post? I rent mountain bikes! So if you want to pay half of what Mount Snow offers come to me. The store is literally right across the street from the ski hill. There are also many trails that don't require trail passes/downhill specific equipement. If there was enough interest I could even lead a group ride.
