Ah ok. That's a different part number and they don't seem to supersede.

Any reason to upgrade the lower links? Came across a used set for a somewhat decent price. There either Dobinsons or Ironman.

lots of differing opinions on this...personally I bought upper and lower links from Opt Offroad and they are beefy af, but some will say it's way overkill and wasteful spending.

Welp no go on the ECU swap from another 2005 GX. I put his key fob into my key shell and plugged in his ECU. The car wouldn't crank. The security system wasn't recognizing his key fob. So we used a special tool to handshake his key fob to his ECU in my GX. That didn't work. Would have had to reseed the keys to even test that the A/C problem is the ECU. Which means reseeding the keys twice, once to my car and once back to his car. In theory this should work. But really life isn't theory and didn't want to run the risk of messing up his 17 year old ECU. We don't think it's the ECU anyways but I'm grasping for straws at this point. Next comes jumpering the relay while hooked to the A/C machine to read pressures. Basically pointing to or eliminating a partially clogged expansion valve. Which the shop is crazy today so another week goes by with mediocre A/C performance. But I'm staying patient because what choice do I have.

It does stay "comfortable" during these hot days by running the climate on MAX COLD/AUTO the whole ride home.

Did you reprogram the ECU with your VIN? If not that is part of the problem.

Also, how difficult was it to get the ecu out? Where is it located?

Behind the glovebox, to the right of the blower motor box. Not bad to get to but wasn't taking a chance on frying his ECU.

Finally pulled the OEM fogs out. Hated the bulb and the output. Picked up a set of SAE fogs from @memario1214 during the Memorial Day sale and got them put in. I bent up a piece of flat bar I had laying around to use as a bracket. Pretty straight forward process. I'll get them aimed tonight.
