Anything is better than what was there. Prob could have ducktaped a couple d cell Maglites in the fog pockets and still been better off.

Finally figured out my A/C issue. It was the evaporator temp sensor. I did my best to test it but it was a guess when I did. You're supposed to remove it from the evap box and measure resistance at ambient temp. We can't seem to remove the little $3 cover that holds it in. But plugged in the new sensor and it runs perfectly. Which brings us to the next problem. We can't seem to remove the little cover that holds it in place. We aren't sure how it comes out. Don't want to break it. I ordered a new cover along with the sensor Friday but the cover is discontinued. So I'll spend some time searching for a Toyota/Lexus dealer with this in stock before we go ham on the old one.

Glad to hear you got it figured it out! I can't help the issue with the cover however. Are you 100% sure the cover is the only way to get the sensor out?

I took off work all week to watch my daughter( couldn't find a sitter) so I got out early this AM and did a little fine tuning to the snorkel and changed the mounting for my Maxtrax in prep for a few roof boxes. Had to drill some holes to get things lined up but wasn't difficult.

Just picked up a Wilco Switch (https://wilcooffroad.com/products/hitchgate-switch) to run my (nearly) full-size spare. Very annoying that nothing over a 31 will fit under the GX460 in the stock location. Not really looking forward to having to deal with the swing out, and man these things have gotten expensive - but I hate running without a spare and did not feel safe having the spare in the trunk with my kid in a child seat in the backseat.

Will throw up some pics once it gets here. What is everyone else doing with their spare tires, btw?

My 265/70 fits in the stock location but once I go 33's or skinny 35's I'm gonna be In the same boat. I'll prob go high clearance and a swing out.

good call. i thought about getting a full rear bumper. there are a lot of good options for the 470. for the 460, i either dont like the look (WAY too bulky) or the ones that look nice and are actually high clearance are too expensive for my blood. I'm gonna run this little swing out for a while and see how things go.

the good thing about these hitch swing outs is it is easily transferable to the next vehicle.

looking forward to seeing what you end up doing

I like the wilco products..but for the cost I'm 1/2 way there for a high clearance rear bumper.

    Yes unfortunately.

This in the only photo of this "cover" I could find. From a Russian used parts site. The green is the sensor wire, the black plastic is what holds it in. I'm assuming the curve puts the sensor up against the evap fins to prevent it from icing over.

Hope not. Even if it breaks those tabs holding it in, we can always just silicone or FIPG it to hold it in place.
