Ride quality has a lot to do with shock valving. OME are notorious for riding rough.

Since you've got the bumper, I think those Dobinsons springs in the rear would serve you well. I am going with the C59-325 myself.
i don't have experience with the Bilsteins, but for another great budget option take a look at Eibach - they have a rear spring for heavier setups as well. I had their basic kit on my Tacoma which scaled at 6k lbs and it rode incredibly good.

All I can say is Dobisons IMS rides like the stock suspension set to Sport mode. From Treaty Oak offroad, it's the 3" HD front and 3" MD rear.
Which I think I have C59-352 HD front springs and 677v rear springs.

It definitely doesn't feel like the shock. It feels like the springs are far too tall/long and I get zero compression from them no matter how much weight I add to the GX.

My OME kit with 885's ride rough as well. I know the spring rate on 885's is less than 886's but I wouldn't think there would be that much difference especially after some weight has been put over your 886's.

All that being said, I'm not a fan of the OME. I think there are better setups for the same or close to the same money.

Got a set of fox 2.5's w/resi on the way for the front, 2.0's w/resi in rear to get rid of the OME setup. Time to order tires. Anyone running 315's or 35's? Have a CMC ready and SPC UCA's to bump up the caster. Lot's of folks stating that these bigger tires will blow the diff. Thoughts?

Your steering rack isn’t going to be happy though. Look into a 460/2010+ 4R rack.

I think most folks were referring to the rear. I could probably limp it along for a bit, but definitely rethinking about going to a 285/70 or 285/75. Can do gears/lockers next year and step it up then. Not super confident that I could stuff 315's without a lot of modification. This is with 265's...

Hey y’all  I’ve been lurking here for many months as I shopped for a new to me 2nd gen 460. My wife & I have been borrowing her mom’s 470 for about 2 years now while I saved my lunch money & hoped for the economy to bust. I’m not in the Southeast but this seems to be the only GX page on TW. I’m headed to San Diego to check this baby out tomorrow. Comps for this year & mileage in SoCal run about 31-33k & with the amount of mods he’s including I’m not against paying asking price (if negotiations fail). I’m not against building a stock one up myself but with an 18 month old son & a flight attendant wife that’s gone half the month I just don’t know where I’d find the time for a build. Fingers crossed I can start contributing to this thread

Edit to add: our annual TW trip to Superstition back in January had everyone calling this the Emirates Mobile as well as the Country Club Special. One of the guys put this video together of me stock mobbing it. The hill I’m going down is steep as hell, half our group of built Tacos & 4Runners turned around. I’ve never taken the time to figure out DAC so it was good old fashioned brake pedal.

for the rear, you are in luck. Find a used 460 rear (8.2”) with air suspension (they are much cheaper than the coil rears). You should be able to find one for $1k or so. They are a 3.91 gear though so find a matching front clamshell from a 460 as well. Should be around $100-150.

since you have KDSS like me; it’s a direct swap to your sport 470

the only pain in the ass part is you have to use the 470 ebrake cables so you have to disassemble the 460 ebrake contraption and swap over the 470 cables, then reassemble it all. It can be a bitch.

I got my rear end and front diff from August Pohl out of Michigan. But check out car-part.com for local junk yards first.
Grab some 460 CVs while you’re at it. They’re slightly stronger.

Welp I managed to work the deal out and pick her up last weekend. Took her out today for the maiden voyage under my watch and since the wife is in Brussels for work I got to introduce our 20 month old to wheeling. It’s a super easy maintenance road about 6 miles up to the comm towers but for a shakedown run (for both the GX & the boy) it was about perfect. When he wasn’t sleeping he was having a great time babbling to me about what he was seeing out of the back.

Anyone on here have a CMC? Trying to decide if this is aggressive enough or if more relief is needed...

you need to replicate the below. It essentially gives as much clearance as the relocation kits do.
