The kit I bought definitely isn't meant to do that. I'm struggling to see where the tire will rub the mount without rubbing the body above it. I'll work on clearancing more tomorrow though.

I'm in need of a front axle. Does anyone know if the OEM Tacoma reman axles fit?

Did your aftermarket ones fail you? There are some good deals on eBay for gx460 axles

Curious if they are any good. I have 2 different aftermarket axles in mine and it's a pain. Driver side axle has a 42mm nut and the adapter that I bought for a slide hammer doesn't fit. Would like both to match.

No. When I installed the Cardone when doing my lift, I took the axle that came off and rebooted it. After about 1 year, the Cardone inner boot left the chat. So I put on the rebooted axle. After installation, it was slinging a little grease. I realized I didn't clamp the clamp enough. Now, a little while later, that axle is popping like crazy when turning. I'm assuming I rebuilt a worn axle and the grease loss didn't help.

I’d say yes. Can’t you get a reman through your parts department

Post up that link for the place you usually order from with the wrecked GX460’s

Probably. Haven't made it that far into looking yet.

EDIT: Apparently, Lexus sells GX460 reman axles also. So I have one of those ordered.

I’m almost certain it’s the same part # as the Tacoma reman as well.

I had them run the part number that's posted on this site and it's not in our system. Our number for a 2012 GX460 is 43430-60082-84. Which looks like it also fits an 4Runner and FJ Cruiser.

Hopefully back in a GX by year's end. Last 4 years have been hell, but I think I'm finally turning a corner.

Welp, just found out the axle is on backorder. ETA is July 4th, but typically backorder parts come in before the stated ETA. So now we wait.
