If someone gets me a bull bar I'll wheel it over my tube bumper, and beat the ever loving dog shit out of it just to prove a point.

Yup. That on a regular not-so-challenging wheeling trip that a bull bar will get abused and smashed while an offroad bumper won't get scratched. I will accomplish this by mounting both at the same time and driving my truck into rocks:D

ftr a regular not-so-challenging wheeling trip caused me more carnage than ALL of my other trips combined

Funny. After I had to winch out in my underwear with Roxspin72, got busted by a 60+ year old black woman who was working over the weekend when I let myself into the building muddy and in my boxers, clothes and towel in hand, then spent the next month spending my mornings wrenching on my truck in a very busy clinic parking lot, getting chewed on by fire ants and soaking in sweat, then finally give up and tow my junk to the dealership and watch an entire service dept stop what they're doing to kick my tires and make jokes about dragging my truck into the woods and lighting it on fire...

... I wasn't at all worried about my dignity. Lessons learned and humbled, yes. Undignified, no. I just know I need bigger tires, a snorkel, and a tarp next time :p

I MIGHT try to come. Depending on my job status and truck progress. Really think I need sliders before then...

You dont need sliders. Like I said earlier, I did all the trails that were considered easy/moderate (didn't do Dutch John, Dickey Bell, or Daniel) on a 100% stock first gen TRD without any type of damage. At the parts that sliders may come in handy, there will be at least 2 people spottin you through.

Oh, I also have a nice sized dent in my cab that came after I got my sliders welded on.

Yes, there are horse trails. You know, that's an idea. My friend is into trucks, her son does mud bogs and stuff (and his name is Chevy).. She may be interested.
