Yea. The final results from my last wheeling trip were cylinder 3 filled with water, connecting rod snapped and went through side of short block, exhaust filled with sediment, throttle body rusted stuck while truck was sitting. Oh and an 02 sensor and an idler pulley fouled up (meh).

I'm gonna stay off the trails until I get a little more work done and I feel more comfortable with the truck's abilities instead of pushing it like I have been. And from now on if it's wet and I can't see the bottom I'm staying the hell away from it until they make man-portal pontoon bridges.

Come to the meet and make sure you do this.

Hell, I'm bringing a stock 03 4x4 TRD 500+ miles. If my truck is able to make it home, yours will be fine!

Trust me dude, I'm half the reason we say "yea stock truck will be fine at URE!" I wheeled the shit out of my 09 in April. I went through a mud hole that was sinking jeeps on 35s. The one in JHodge's signature. Only I was 4 inches lower. It cost me an alternator. On the night run me and Dark Knight spotted a last gen Taco through one of the hardest trails out there and barely bent a running board.

I definitely want to make it out for the campsite asshattery and rolling down the trail is always interesting but as far as beating up my junk out there, been there, done that. The shine is off the apple. I've got enough dents and damage from URE that I think I can comfortably sit this one out:D

Now once I'm finally able to get tires, tubing, and a snorkel on there then I'll be due for a shakedown run.

    A few bolts are different.
Adam you should grab a seat in Kevins truck.

edit: I kinda have the same feelings about wheeling. If it is wet and muddy I will not, and it would be ashame to tear up the 05 more when I have the old one slowly being built as I have time. I think its going to be a will power thing for me, I know as soon as I get out there I'll want to hit the trails but there are certain situations where I will say no

damn boy, you're bad at off roading.

thats actually a good point, i wont take my truck out if its raining or has been raining hard. i lilke trail riding but i hate mud. not only does it fuck everything up, its a pain to get off. plus, i dont wanna slide into any rocks. if i damage my truck under ideal conditions it sucks but whatever, not a huge deal. but i dont want to damage it by being stupid and sliding all over the place

Went back to the pond over lunch. Ate my sammich. Had a stock izuzu rodeo pass me. He couldn't get back up the road that you have to take to get down to the lake. (Eddie - the hill you towed me up). It's all washed out and you have to put a tire in the air. So he turned around and started heading towards the mudhole I got F'ed up in. I followed him to warn him. They stopped, I warned that the left one eats engines and the right one is deeper. They turned around and stacked a couple rocks in the ruts and applied skinny pedal liberally and got out. I rolled up behind them and ATRAC clickity clacked it's way up with no problem.

Turns out the driver was a PSYOPs CSM probably on his way to a change of responsibility ceremony. lolz. If he didnt' make it up the hill I was gonna winch him.

pretty much stock, very minor upgrades plus tires
Hey Guys I just joined the site, where is the Meet at. I'm down it Tampa FL. 2007 Silver Tacoma PreRunner still stock but Ive only had it for two weeks and love it. Quick question for anyone who may know the answer. I have 245 70 16 tires on it and I was wondering if I could put on 265 70 16 without any problems.
