i personally didn’t like the seams, sometimes the gap is very noticeable between the slimline and the stage 2, and then there may be the gas along the fender flares.

Have to say I'm loving this truck. Curious, what are the specs on the tires you're running? Look like 35s, and I'm looking to bump up from the 285/75/r17 KO2s I'm running on my near-identical truck. If those are 35s (and I like that they're skinny) I'd love to hear some feedback from you.

    Cheers!

So far yes I would- only have had it for a few months. Its easy to remove the license plate when I know I am going to wheel, and easy to install when Im back to my normal driving.
The only reason I bring that up is that my SSO bumper in that section is angled downward - it'd be tricky to run a winch under full load with a license plate in that area - so I just remove it when when winching is "likely".

It does flip up nicely, and keeps LEO happy otherwise.

They are 35x11.5 r17 nitto trail grapplers. I have a few thousand miles on them now and love them.

Finally got this thing installed and I'm quite pleased with it. Personally I think it's the best looking bumper for our trucks. I like how the fog lights are retained and keeps most of the aesthetics of the design. I think I'll be in the market for a larger tire size in the near future.

One thing I noticed is the mounting location to the frame. It doesn't seem very stout. I know other manufacturers offer reinforcement brackets. Will @SouthernStyleOffRoad come out with anything for this in the future? Is it needed?

Hi there. We'd have to disagree with you on the strength of our bumper. We've never had a failure of the mounting location from the thousands of bumpers we've fabricated, for good reason. For starters, we use 3/8" US made carbon steel that bolts directly to the frame horns and wraps around the lower radiator mount using all grade 10.9 hardware. Because we've engineered this for simplicity and strength, no other brackets are required. This allows for the safety features of the truck (crumple zones) to work as intended from Toyota. We HIGHLY discourage using the brackets that completely remove the crumple zones like other manufacturers have had to come up with as a band aid to their designs. If you'll notice the other manufacturers designs, they chose a cheaper, thinner steel (1/4" or thinner) as the mount which necessitates the additional brackets. Most manufacturers don't even tie in the lower radiator support as is required for ultimate strength.

Not only is our design simply the strongest from the get go, but we also offer a LIFETIME limited warranty on workmanship and material defects. I hope this information sets your mind at ease!

I wasn't implying your bumper is the weak link. I was referring to the frame horns that the bumper mounts to. I firmly believe the bumper is more than adequate in terms of strength.

No offense taken. The frame horns are weak, you're right. THis is why we use the 3/8" steel and wrap it around the lower radiator mount. In order to pucker the bolt locations at the frame horns, it would have to bend the 3/8" steel first. While not impossible, this feat would require approximately 8 tons of force just to bend the steel at it's narrowest point without even considering the grade 10.9 nuts and bolts that are also providing 150,800 lbs/in2 min tensile strength each.

For comparison it would only take 3 tons of force to bend 1/4" steel, everything else equal.

I have these C4 brackets but had to slightly cut/modify to fit. Already had them on from my previous bumper.

@SouthernStyleOffRoad probably dumb question but the 30" cut out fits the diode dynamics light bar too correct? The mounting tabs are the same for all 30" cut outs?
