So did you cut exactly what they say in the video? Or like 1/4 more then what’s shown ?

I cut exactly like the video but as the bumper went towards my wheel well it got tight and that’s where I need to trim. The front section is great and still have a nice 1/8” gap.

in all honesty, I probably didn’t get the angle perfectly correct but it only rubs when I jump off curbs and flex the front.

We do not offer a full size bumper for the 2nd gens.

At this moment, we do not have plans on adding a specific DD light cutout, though, I will suggest this to our engineering team.

My front body flexs like 3/4" in total while the truck is flexed out, pretty crazy

I had to do the same thing, I had strange loud noises coming from the frontend. However, I didn't take my bumper off for the new cut. I used a piece of cardboard and pencil to follow the line of the bumper to give me 1/4" cut line. Then I cut it and applied a new trim piece. No more noises :)

If you need an example of the body flex when flexing, see the post above...

need to cut a little gap, I made mine pretty flush the first go around following the SSO instructions, it rubbed. I cut more off, did a long trip recently and noticed it must've rubbed when flexing offroad.

So it’s only crazy flexing on the sides not in the middle correct?

generally speaking, yes, the most flex occurs at the areas furthest from the body mounts. Your body is attached to the frame near the center of the truck, so it can't flex as much in that area. It will still flex a bit...

I just had to go back and recut the last 4-6 inches or so from the wheel well. The rest was fine. I need to go trim a bit more from the fender flare. I was able to cut it again without removing the bumper and sliding the trim piece off from the back and was able to replace it ok. Would be wayyy easier without the bumper on there but I didn't want to wrestle that thing off again by myself :)

According to video the measurement from the center of the bolt at wheel well is 2"down. Would you suggest changing that measurement to 1-3/4" to avoid re-cut?

Maybe the best thing to do would be measure and cut like they recommend to start off with, throw the bumper on to see where you are at. It would suck to take too much off right away and have a big gap, I'm sure each truck has small differences. I would've done that but I put it on by myself carefully without help with a floor jack and jackstands and wasn't going to do it again. If you could have a friend help you lift it on and off it would be so much easier to just get a baseline and cut more from there. Either way I'd mark it out like they say, and perhaps take a little more off just at the fender flare area to the first crease...
This area I circled is what I had to retrim, you can see it's right up on the bumper
