Southern Utah Traverse (S.U.T.) August 13th-19th, 2017

Okay, so as of right now I'm pretty set on the following dates. August 8th - 14th. These are the earliest dates that allow for my wife to make it. She said I could go without her, but I'm not falling for that trap haha

 

Just finished mapping out the gas stops, suggested camping spots, and places/landmarks to check out throughout the route. Total miles end up being about 760 miles over the course of 7 days. The longest we go between gas stations is 180 miles and the longest day will be day 2 at around 170 miles.

OP updated with all the info I have so far.

Needing to get some votes on what 7 days to do this trip between the 8th and 19th of August.

 

We have our Rogue Overland Summer Expedition at the end of August but July is pretty open. We will keep an eye on this thread and if it works out we will join, but don't plan around us though.

Wow, nice trip! Shame you're starting out in St George but skipping toroweap & the north rim GC...of course there's just too much nice stuff to see.

Thanks! North Rim and Toroweap would be awesome, but I'm making that a separate trip either late this Fall or Spring of next year. That trip has some lengthy spots without gas which is proving to be difficult.
