I may take July - August and just expo the country. I'm thinking about weekend travels, weekdays "working" where I can (need wifi) and local exploring when not working. If I can get it figured out, I'll pass on this. Last one I did was 7700 miles in 33 days. It was a lot!!!! 800 miles in 7 days not bad at all overlanding!

The last time I did a 700 mi jaunt it took me four weeks. :turtleride:

I don't think I can do less than two weeks on that trail. Can anyone take a few weeks off work and join me? Lol.

Sounds like that will be an awesome journey! Wish I could work something like that out.
Understandable. I keep finding other places I'd love to check out. Just not enough time unfortunately...

So I made a second option for the last portion of day 7...

The original option is part of the original S.U.T. but it's fairly unentertaining but gets you right beside the Utah/Colorado border.

The new second option heads South instead taking us to an overlook of the Valley of the God's. But, it's 1.5-2 hours West of the Colorado border. So if you wanted to hit the Colorado border at the end of the trip you'd have to make 1.5-2 hour drive on the 8th day.

This is not out of the question for me. Depending on when, I might be able to. I can always rent out my spare Expo Rig to offset the cost. The 7700 mi trek was all without pay, and it HURT! LOL.

There never is, there never is!!!

You should really get one of those auto-positioning satellite internet deals. But they're pretty expensive to justify.

That'd be great John! I'm pretty free June-August within a week's notice.. although I smoke tobacco, not sure if that'd be a deal-breaker for you...

LOL... as long as its not in my truck, I don't care what you smoke. I have a green card!:rasta: I'll let you know as the weeks roll. I'm at Overland Expo West this weekend, then giving a 7 day MOAB, Arches, Bryce, Grand Canyon Blah Blah Blah tour over memorial day weekend. No solid plans after that other than maybe hitting Lake Havasu on my way out of town for whatever the next adventure is.

Looks fantastic. I haven't been to that part of the world in too long. I'm taking a month off around that time of year to cruise up the rockies and eventually cut over to see family in Washington... maybe I should factor this route to fit into my plans as well.
