Southern Vt Camping Weekend...

The trip is this weekend...fuck, can't make this one, dropped off truck today at uncles shop to rip truck aparty for claims adjuster to assess total damages

Yea way to be lake Eddie.. And the bumper just got bent, I not like the truck was damaged.. Drop off the bumper and take the truck wheeling

 

ok chad here is some info on the fishing around our area...
you have a river some streams and brooks and some big ass reserviors
you have the "deerfield river"...very close in the forest service area
and "somerset reservior" down the f.s. road as well
along with many ponds "grout pond"
"harriman reservior"
hagapond pond.....
licenses are $20 for 1-3 days and available at
Tiffts Trading Post5053 Route 9Woodford(802) 442 - 5222
as well as online.....

not sure what type of gear needed......im a salt water guy......
ill post some more when i find something else out

 

yeah, and my uncle found more damage, truck bed spacing onleft and right side, behind cab looks uneven, so maybe pushed frame alittle , getting rechecked. and adjuster has to be there to make sure is legit. i fuckin hate insurance. but would have been done already if i was going back to stock parts. so my uncle writes up estimate and then puts it back together till i get aftermarket bumper.

 

I'm already here (Northern VT) with boat and canoe in hand! Let me know what lake/ body of water and I'd at least make a day trip.
As far as fishing gear if your not a fly guy then a spinning rod with 6 lb test should do fine.

Having my throwout bearing replaced wont have truck bck this weekend ... Would have been cool i need a break from work an kids to get my remington 700 dialed in :/. Next time... Have a beer for me guys

 

sweet weather is looking amazing.......
bring what you need into camp as the ride into town is about an hour ...
ill be bringing a griddle and a rack to cook off an open fire....a saw for firewood......basic hot dogs n burgers n sausage n bacon for breakfeast......
along with emergency rations
guns n ammo... just bringing the .22's and shot gun for bears n such.....and mabye the 30-06 for fun...
now we have a few choices for camping areas.......one is a huge spot on a stream......a few neighbors 1/2 mile away.....
the other is my fav its on a smaller brook about 15 miles outback.....really outback.......but it is kinda small but a lil oasis.......
assuming no one is taken my spots......
then there are many others but not on streams.......ill get there first and claim both spots and let youz guyz decide.....hows that......
it should be a nice relaxing time......
oh and tomatoes and lots o beer

 

also who ever is coming when youz know which way you are coming from let me know so we can get a spot n time to meet up as cell phone service is sketcky "at least for me".................

 

yea decide on a channel......and if you are coming from 87 or the west on route 9 in vt then the best spot would be woodford state park entrance.....ill park out in front or you can go to 1147 molly stark trail the entrance to forest service road 71.... but thats a lil more diff to see as there is no sign just a hole in guard rail.......but i have gps cords for everything.....
so let me kbnow what youz all decide.....

 

yes thats the meeting spot ..... not the place we are staying at....
where we are staying there are no neigbors.....its forest service land no bathrooms ect.. very primative.....there is a spot that has toilets like the non flush kinda at the airport camping area......but we will b staying outback....in the deep woods
that state park is just somewhere to meet so i can take youz into the good areas.......bring toilet paper

also no worries about ticks or jijjors or whatever they are called.....
none of that up here.....
but bring some bug spray just in case.....black fly season isnt for another month or so so we should be fine......
there is no rain expected at all.......
when you are coming in on 9 heading east you will pass a few gas stations / mini marts......them are your last gas spots so fill up ice up whatever you need......then the state park entrance will be on your right as you travel down 9 east.......

 

you will be coming in through bennington vt.....thats the last major town for gas / ice n such

yea tell me about it....you might hit some in bennington / albany area as well....but your timing might just work for ya

 

I will be leaving here around 4pm friday, so I wont be up there till 9 or 10. If you have gps coordinates that would be great. Definitely looking forward to this.. I think me and my friend steve are going to mountain bike at mt snow saturday if that works with everyone else's plans.
Also my friend katie wants to come. She also works at Eastern Mountain Sports, and shes an amatuer mtn bike racer, so she really wants to ride mt snow. does anyone care if a girl comes? I still havent decided if she will work with our plans, but she wants to go..


And about weapons.. scott bring the 30.6 for wake up calls ... and for fun. and the revolver.. for fun. and the 22... for fun. and the shotty... for fun and bears
