Its a proposed theory thats being tested, something that the scientific community does to back up a claim. Nobody is saying its the solid, accepted reason to the beginnings of life

127GeV, while the two protons smashed together only had masses of 1GeV

The Higgs boson and the Higgs field give elementary particles mass, like a proton.

The higgs field slows energetic particles down from the speed of light, and in doing so, gives a particle mass.

The mass of everything else comes from the interraction of quarks, gluons and other extensions built from elementary particles

Like how our solar system and all of our planets are just leftover material from the circulstellar disk that formed our sun
