    Too far makes the most logical sense. It could be that FTL travel and/or communication is impossible and thus the distances involved and the natural background radiation make it nigh impossible to detect life over vast differences. Like a million kids spread out in the Pacific ocean on rowboats trying to communicate with FRS walkie talkies. You'd think they would link up but odds say no.

    Gerstenmaier is a catch of monumental significance for SpaceX. Look for the gap w Boeing to grow even larger.

    I’ve heard Elon speak openly about the disparity in the funding levels between SX and B with SX coming out billions less than B. It’ll be interesting to see how this pans out esp if crewed Dragons are safe and reliable and problems keep Starliner on the ground.
