    And it’ll be the Falcon Super Heavy that gets them there..

    Edit: I actually read the article...SpaceX is using Starship and the Super Heavy... Both are now receiving govt funding rather than just SpaceX’s...Whereas the other 2 are relying on SLS.

    How do I get SpaceX stock?

    Edit 2: How can this now be called part of the Artemis Program? $$ source?

    Edit 3: Per the SpaceX twitter- it’ll be a lunar optimized Starship w/o heat shield or flaps.

    Atermis is the overall 'return to the moon' program, of which SLS/Orion/Gateway is only a component, and in fact no longer on the critical path. Other early phase contracts that have been awarded are the unmanned commercial lander element, and now investigation early contracts on the manned lander element.

    SpaceX is a privately held company. No stock for purchase, sorry.

    And no, BO team is using New Glenn/Vulcan as their launcher, SpaceX is a Starship bid, and Dynetics is launcher agnostic (so FH, heh) The Boeing SLS launched proposal explicitly did NOT get selected.

    SpaceX won't go public where they have to share financials with stockholders. They get their public funding the easy way, through grants and contracts, which also allows them more secrecy on the backend. It's the same reason most of the defense companies were family controlled until the 1980s when cutbacks started.

    Appreciate the insights and explanation.

    Seems with the awarding of these latest contracts, NASA understands the limitations with its hardware and opened up Artemis to more of its commercial partners. I don’t have any sources to post but originally the SLS was supposed to be the prime launcher with the commercial partners providing supportive services.

    I probably should have used an emoji when I asked about buying stock :D...
