    Guessing Chris Ferguson that just stepped away from the role of Boeing Astronaut for the Starliner CFT-1 mission felt the same way. He cites personal things he doesn't want to miss next year. (but heck, I’d miss living too!) His seat will be taken by NASA astronaut Barry Wilmore.

    I know they do.

    But, the problem always exists - how accurate is your simulator? Of course, as accurate as you can make it - but none perform exactly the same as the rocket.

    Of course, every time you fly, you learn something, which can go into your simulator, making it more accurate.

    Probably nothing major, but good they are working to learn and improve the rocket.

    I'm glad they publicize this as well - maybe NASA will learn to be less risk averse, and start flying rockets. You can only learn so much from your simulator...
