I missed that. The :ballchain: made me turn it. Any explanation why it would be frosty?

In past propellent loading, a small ring would form along the header tank in the nose. My :ballchain: thinks it could just be the lighting. In any case, I thought it would be unusual for the entire nosecone to be frosty.

Interesting point on no further Raptor burns due to test stand weakness. Tim Dodd was wondering a day or so ago if they’ve attempted to relight the Raptors within minutes. He couldn’t say if they have..

Neither could the NSF crew. I doubt they will try a relight test this close to the hop.

Not really true from my point of view. Engineers apply the science. They are still scientists. It goes Theoretical Science -> Experimental Science -> Practical Science. You can do strictly what Elon is saying is rocket science, for example Nuclear Powered Rocket Propulsion theory and research that's ongoing, but it's worth teaching a model that includes engineers as scientists. I wouldn't exclude them as part of the Science itself since design and practical testing of theory and lab work is science even in a strict definition. Example, hypothesis (design in an engineers case), test, conclusion (did it explode or not) would fit the Scientific model.

Plus, honestly, Engineers don't care. A good engineer makes way more than a good theoretical physicist. Money talks.

I only know this because I'm an Agrologist. In some parts of the word we're called Agricultural Engineers because we work on the practical side. I'd rather be in my role than in the lab. You don't make as much in the lab.

I'm still waiting on real details for KSP 2. I've read that accurate existing rockets and landers will be included, which I hope is true. I mean I love blowing up, or straight up abandoning, my poor Kerbals but I'd like to be able to see some IRL rocketry exist within the game.

Edit: By abandoning I mean, really, who needs unmanned probes when Kerbals don't need to eat or breath? They don't have a family lol.

Holy heck! We have footage of the Arecibo collapse, even though it’s sad, who doesn’t like seeing destruction!???!
The drone footage is amazing, I wonder if they were fully monitoring the suspension cables with the drone expecting this.
my guess would be yes, since they had staff working to remove equipment and would want to know if the condition changed to warrant evacuation.

edit: sorry for the duplicate post about this. Trying to be productive at work and catch up on TW. Lol
