And that's why elon has said a couple times that this is targeted towards the rural people that don't have options. Starlink will also have a TON of ground stations.

Yeah, buddy of mine has only one option at the moment and it's metered. I pay less for unlimited 100mb download speeds than he does for metered 5mb downloads.

Sounds a lot like the pre 2000 satellite phone vs cell phone arguments.

In the end we all want space, but Boeing has become a bloated money pit filled with bureaucracy. So many of legacy companies have the "too big to fail" mentality, and I enjoy watching them being taken down a peg.

    Hear, hear! :fistbump:

At this point, I could care less if the SLS ever gets completed. Heck, I'd rather see BO take the Artemis mission at this point.

Seems like such a ridiculous way to land on anything, let alone Mars... I'm going to laugh if the exomars mission ever launches and lands on Mars with a parachute.

    Mars is hard.

    https://www.space.com/10930-mars-landings-red-planet-exploration.html

Parachutes alone will only get you so far due to the thin atmosphere.

    In JPL I trust.

I prefer the giant airbag triangular pyramid :D. Watching the videos of them testing that system was hilarious and they should use a giant version of it for the first human Mars journey just so we can all watch the Astronauts bounce around for a while on landing lol.

In SpaceX News, Elon is supposedly being looked at by the SEC again. Tesla buying all that bitcoin and then him tweeting about it, possibly for personal gain, might of been too much. He could be looking at some sort of punishment. Hopefully not, I'm sure that wouldn't be good for SpaceX.

Here's the airbag rover landing simulation. It's fun to watch IMHO and it actually worked lol. I vote we do it to people in a capsule next :p

Nice half truth. Sloppy attempt to skew the facts to bolster a flawed argument.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ExoMars

If they successfully land #2, they’re batting .500 for this mission.

Edit: They all use parachutes to some extent - it’s never JUST parachutes.
