Anything military-industrial that isn't on a fixed contract ends up becoming a shit show. It's been that way going all the way back to the Spruce Goose. Hell, the Century Fighter programs were no better than the F35 program and ran under multiple administrations. It all was okay though because back then certain trigger words could change public opinion. Funny story though, society is getting back that way so it will likely get worse. I wouldn't be surprised if the US lets China land on the moon first to drum up support for sky-high NASA funding.

Posted over in the Starlink thread.

    Fascinating site!

You can make out the ten Starlinks in polar orbit from the Transporter -1 mission :woot:

Eventually, yes. It’ll look something like:

    It’s the top part that’s been flying SN8, 9 and 10.

Except they intend to eventually not have landing legs. Will be interesting to see them try to catch it. Wonder if that means we will see them do some lift testing in the highbay lifting it by the flaps.

It hasn't earned those yet. Spacex has to prove they can get it up first...

Or you could count the header tanks, but those are on the inside, haven't dropped yet.

    WATCH LIVE: STARLINK MISSION

SpaceX is targeting Sunday, March 14 for launch of 60 Starlink satellites from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The instantaneous window is at 6:01 a.m. EDT, or 10:01 UTC.

This mission represents the first time SpaceX will be reusing a Falcon 9 first stage for the ninth time.
The Falcon 9 first stage supporting this mission previously supported launch of Crew Dragon’s first demonstration mission, RADARSAT Constellation Mission, SXM-7, and five Starlink missions. Following stage separation, SpaceX will attempt to land Falcon 9’s first stage on the “Of Course I Still Love You” droneship, which will be located in the Atlantic Ocean. Falcon 9’s fairing previously flew on the Transporter-1 mission.

You can watch the launch webcast live starting about 15 minutes before liftoff.

    ——————————-

Zeroing in on that 10th flight! Shows the booster was in no way suspect for the SXM-7 issues.
