    From the SpaceX website:
SpaceX and NASA are targeting Friday, April 23 for Falcon 9’s launch of Dragon’s second six-month operational crew mission (Crew-2) to the International Space Station (ISS) from historic Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The instantaneous launch window opens at 5:49 a.m. EDT, 9:49 UTC, with a backup opportunity available on Monday, April 26 at 4:38 a.m. EDT, 8:48 UTC.
    :pout:

Hoping it doesn’t go to Monday- 4:38 am is a bit early...

By awarding SpaceX a Starship HLS contract, NASA has ensured their voice will be heard during development

This is the dangerous part that elon has said he wanted to avoid... Maybe since starship is where it's at already in development it's a safe bet. Let's hope.

Looks like NASA and SpaceX have been there for quite a while if you believe the article.

You know we’ve been to the moon a few times now. Seems to me if we had never retreated from anything but earth orbit (and really, is that “space”) we’d be a lot further out.

Get a trade skill. If starship actually accomplishes half of what they want, there will be a ton of construction jobs in space, the moon, and eventually beyond. Best part is it will be employer sponsored and should be really good pay.

Life goal - one of the kiddos is an exploratory captain heading to the outer planets, the other kiddo doing space construction, and they decide to send me a message for some <significantholiday> or other.

I'd love some astronaut wings though... won't happen, plus not sure I'm gonna be useful.

Funny, over on the right coast, the launch is early in the morning.

Wouldn’t surprise me if @Gregthespy gets woken by it :rocket::D

Nominal launch, first stage landing and orbital insertion for Crew-2!

There was a brief but spectacular shot from the first stage as it was coming down. The sun was just starting to light the clouds below.

I'm not into space and science stuff and had no idea they were launching a rocket this morning. On my way to work this morning I saw something and actually stopped and took this picture here in N.C. I had no idea what it was until I sent it to a friend and he said it was Falcon 9 something :D

Wasn’t woken up by this one! But I kind of wish I was, wouldn’t have minded a glimpse of it. If it was a work day for me I would have seen it on my way to the shop.
My oldest boy is wearing his SpaceX shirt to school and I think I’ll wear mine as well!
