easy. Starships are 50meters tall, and 10 meters wide. So that little model i did would be 110 meters in diameter, not enough for a comfortable artificial gravity.

If they do actually do something like that, there is a good chance they would drain the tanks and convert them into useable space.

    You’re talking wet workshop!

I remember this being discussed alongside the run up to Skylab. I always wondered what it would smell like :)

What about the point to point flights across the globe? Will the booster be needed for those? If not and it crosses the Kármán line, does that make it a rocket? Will all occupants become astronauts, cosmonauts or tiakonauts depending on their country of origin?

Rocket (engine) - a type of reaction engine which does not use external oxidizer to create thrust , also a vehicle using the same.

Shuttle - SSMEs require the presence of an external fuel tank to be run, but also has OMS pods in which have onboard fuel. Conclusion - the orbiter by itself /is/ a 'rocket' and 'spaceship' but only part of what is necessary to get into orbit/space.

Starship - Contains both fuel and oxidizer onboard. S2 (Starship proper) can pass karman line on it's own, and while not SSTO, pretty close (but not with a usable payload). Conclusion - both a rocket and spaceship, but not orbital unless used with a superheavy.

Awesome. Yes that's what I'm talking about. Doing that to a starship would give you nearly triple the volume of the iss per starship... The smell might be bad, but they'll probably develop a cleaning robot to minimize it.

You'd think SpaceX could design a better solution?

Nice analogy. Elon ain't no Tony Stark, though.

    More like Tony Stank.

It's funny because Robert Downey shadowed Elon to create the Tony Stark character. That's why he got the cameo in the second movie. And compared to Bezos...I think he might be. I think Bezos got conned and hired a bunch of legacy engineers and employees. That's why they designed some 1970's lunar lander instead of a modded version of their rocket that is supposed to compete with Starship and they claim to be building.
