Makes a ton of sense. Not surprised they’d go that route.

At 800, that’s a bit more than 2 a day. An amazing production target for sure.

Did he say where? Like McGregor or the next town over? :rocket:

    I don't have a clue.

You would think BO would want to have several test flights to orbit before sending up the CEO...despite having all the other test flights.

As different as the two approaches are it’s better if both succeed but this is a long way from deciding who the winner is. I do think there’s an advantage to knowing where you’re going to land though, the capsule is adrift and basically directionless once powered flight is done. I still believe capsule technology is a dead end approach whether it lands or splashes where that occurs is too indefinite. It may be the best thing for now but that’s a far cry from where we should end up.

McGregor’s close enough to be in the Waco Metropolitan Statistical Area..

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/McGregor,_Texas

Me thinks Texas is giving Spacex a boatload of incentives…

Edit- back in 2014, it was reported to be $15 mill. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s changed over the years .
