Actually, mid-orbit refueling is the current plan for going to the Moon with people. Artemis III, I believe.

Folks, multitasking is impossible. Even the fastest computers in the world can't do it. It just does things so fast it seems like several things are happening seemlessly. People are not capable either, they just switch tasks and tell people they are multitasking.

Yeah, guess I was really off my game today. (Not that I have game on a regular basis…)

Totally misread what the story was about. The 18 year old was given the seat by the anonymous person who paid the mega millions.

    Back to original programming..

Yeah, it’s a shame they screwed up the first OFT to the extent they did. Hopefully they’ll get their shit together and the queue of NASA astronauts assigned to the program can start flying.

Yes, I've seen this happen first hand. Watched as a ton of police showed up and arrested a Chinese national that had been caught taking pictures of prints. That takes a TON of time though, and there are hurdles. Rockets consist of tens of thousands of parts, and they often outsource the manufacturing of those parts. They can get a ton of info, but it will never be complete. They'll eventually get enough data to duplicate things, but that could take years if not decades. To think China is not attacking these problems from multiple angles is foolish.

A perfect example of this is Barret. The shop I'm at makes parts for them. We make their lowers and handguards. They have some other shop make the uppers, and another makes parts for the internals. So I can't make a bootleg barret :(.

It's the plan - and it's written on paper.

Of course, it's only in pencil.... :(

Yeah, but the only reason for that is because NASA doesn't like putting all it's eggs in one basket. Starship, while filled with our hopes and dreams, is not guaranteed to work. As Adam Savage says, failure is always an option.
