Agile mentality, with the ability/willingness to throw money at a problem, will let you do amazing things.

Clearly seams are visible but I'd think there are ones that are covered as well?

Sorry, this is where I’m referring to:
    D6879516-84F1-4672-AD80-52791D7317E3.jpg
Just wonder if that’s a first launch-only issue that they’ll fix on future tile layouts, or what. Seems that if that middle band were rotated around it would line up with the ones above and below. There’s similar seams higher up on the tank as well.
Also wonder about that one tile in the lower left that seems to dip in pretty good, wonder if the ones near that will get peeled off on re-entry? But, I know SpaceX has lots of people smarter than me working on this, they must think it’ll work.

Ahhh! Gotcha. I didn't load the image to get a good look at it. Above my pay grade--not hard to do since my background is service industry and biology based!

Intentional- for sure in my layman’s opinion. I don’t think SpaceX does things without intention based on the info available to them.

Tank based lines is an interesting question. One to separate the tanks and the other for the cargo area….

Maybe Everday Astronaut Tim Dodd on YT will discuss w Elon when he releases his 3 part, 2 hour conversation video from earlier this week. :notsure:

Ahhh, bet you're onto something there--maybe those "seams" in tiles are over bulkheads or areas with slightly different flex/expansion/contraction rates?

Agreed, the top one is way too low for the cargo area…
Though the bottom one could be where the thrust puck is? :notsure:

Have you watched part 1 yet? I started, but figured I'd watch it alone so the kids didn't distract me.

    Working on it.

Got to the Tesla NVH vs Battery group story- pretty funny esp at that level..

Probably won’t get back to it for a day or so.

Looks like Tim had amazing access and is letting Elon talk w minimal interruptions. Hope it stays that way!

    Hope you enjoy it!

I hope I do too. I'm a NSF fan, so hearing the other side is interesting for a change.
