Where to? It’s not like you drive the things. I suppose you could do the calcs ahead of time for a given course but you need tracking data feedback to actually stay on course. They don’t put google-orbit-map in the dash.

LOL, we had a similar things happen when I worked for an aerospace company in SoCal. We had made friends with all the local scrap metal dealers in town to abate some of the problems with metal theft, and sure enough, one day had a huge piece of an exotic titanium alloy go missing. The weight of it alone made it sort of impressive the were able to make off with it.

Got a call from a scrap dealer down the street "hey, do you guys wanna come get your "I dont even know what this is" stock from us? We called the cops for the guy that brought it in."

Yeah they tried every scrap yard, had the cops there, and after the third time the feds showed up. I just wish they had cameras because I have no idea how they lifted these things. They kept the forklifts inside, because they'd been robbed before. Those thief's used the forklifts to raise a bay door and stole a bunch of toolboxes though.

If you told the tweakers that there's aluminum cans on the moon, they'd beat NASA getting there

I'm about to have a team of crackhead engineers. I live in California and I'm going to tell the crackheads on the corner there's meth on the moon.

Bezos didn’t orbit, just straight up and back down. You need the second stage burn to reach orbital velocity and he ain’t got that. Nor does Branson. X-15 did what they’re doing 60 years ago.

This heist is getting more complicated. Now not only do we have to steal a booster, we have to steal a second stage, and a crew capsule... I think we're gonna need a crew.

I was a junior in college. Heard a couple of people talking about it and was immediately devastated. In hindsight I was shocked at the apathy and cavalier attitude most of my peers showed at the time.

I remember all the hype and the fact that schools across the country were tuned in.

I heard a SpaceX 2nd stage is going to crash into the moon soon. Would be awesome if it did it by a drone so we could get some footage.
