    Isn’t that their projected costs per launch, not the price they’re going to charge their customers?

    Iirc they're projected cost is 2 million. F9 costs 50 mil per launch, and starship should have 4-6x the payload capacity, so technically 2-300 million per launch is more than reasonable, but I doubt it will be over 30 and possibly under 20. And if they do something insane like 5-10, space tourism has a big chance of becoming a reality.

    It’s NASA that won’t turn a profit. Spacex wouldn’t exist in its current state without their funding. If they continue to be able to do more for less than competitors they will continue to get funding. Once the nkit they have already established a favorable reputation.

    Elon, “:popcorn:, sure no problem, we can do that, probably cheaper and with less drama as well”.
    Might be a good chance to encourage India, Australia, or Japan to step into the gap as well.
