That is spectacular! That should be printed in large format and hanging in offices (as I'm sure it is)

SLS launch is on the schedule for June 6tho_O, I'll be at the turn basin across the street from the Vab when she rolls out to the pad the first time for wet dress 3-17. Can't wait.

Pics or it didn't happen :D

    You lucky SOB

I hope there's no delays and it's a beautiful day for a rollout. Just thinking of some of the Saturn V pics and footage. Can't think of anything more massive or awesome than a moon rocket rolling out of the shop!!

I was actually selected from a lottery of the entire KSC workforce to receive 1 of 2 family passes given for upto 7 total passengers viewing from the Turn Basin where the Core Stage was offloaded from the tug. 4 passes were given for viewing from OSB II rooftop which is where Trump and other presidents have viewed special events and launches. OSB roof may be higher but the angle isn't as good. Turn Basin is as good as it gets just about unless you happen to be Crawler Crew which speaking of....

First movement is 3/17 1800, right as the sun is going down. 2nd shift saddle up!

One of my favorite rollout pics.. First rollout for Apollo 16.

Comparing this to the pic @Hunterdc1 posted, the people in the pic would be half, maybe a third of their size, if they were standing right next to it.

I'm far from the preeminent Apollo historian but I stumbled upon "Apollo The Lost Tapes" on Hulu and a lot of it is footage I've not seen. Something I'd recommend for fellow historical NASA buffs

Except maybe a rocket landing next to it’s launch tower then raised to it’s booster (that already landed on the launchpad) by the same tower..

    It’s getting nasty…

Won’t link it here but CNN has an article on the twitter fight between Scott Kelly and Rogozin.

I don’t see the Russians maintaining their
commitment to the ISS. They got no game up there and are shameless in what they decide.

Looks like it's slightly past the fall equinox on mars (Feb 24 2022) and winter solstice is Jul 21. The first flight was back in April 2021 (slightly after the Spring equinox)...

Let's hope it survives the winter!

A big :brianr: to Rogozin - SpaceX Launch Director Julia Black moments before launch: "Time to let the American broomstick fly and hear the sounds of freedom, LD is go for launch."

    110th successful launch and landing.

From this morning's launch. Probably the closest I've ever been, right around a mile on a straight shot.
