    How fine are the gyro/gyro controls to keep it accurately pointed while moving at what?? velocity through space?!

    Interesting question. At some distances the relative motion isn’t enough to blur the image but you can see that closer images show the streak of what looks like orbital movement.

    That's a great pic for such a (comparatively) short exposure. Can you imagine how deep it would be if it was really trying?

    I would’ve thought, due to all the talk about JSWT being way more in the infrared spectrum, the JSWT would have looked like the HST pic.

    I could swear I read something somewhere that they take the pictures in infrared and then use an algorithm to add the appropriate colors.

    Since they know the redshift values, it should be a pretty straightforward conversion. Unless of course they want to add false color to emphasize hidden things.
