Former Nasa Administrator under Trump Jim Bridenstine joins the board of Phase Four, a provider of electronic propulsion thrusters. Keep on eye on them, I will be.

Cygnus can do that right now.

You can even slap one into a F9 once they run out of Antares.

Considering the competition, the only redundancy NASA can expect will be Starship.

Considering Dragon can't reboost (yet)... no? F9+Cygnus solves reboost. Some vs none.

Now, crew, sure, starliner on f9 means that falcon is the common failure point... but boeing has a Plan(tm) to use vulcan...

Temporarily they don’t have much choice. Separate boosters and ships is the goal. Even after ISS deorbits there will be other stations coming online so somebody might want a ride in the overpriced leuber. There will also be some consolidation of companies with good tech and insufficient business models. I don’t think BO will survive unless someone else is at the top, Bezos is an entrepreneur not a rocket guy. He doesn’t make stuff , he sells it.

I'm only seeing the updates on space.com. Is it known/announced if the leak is occurring on the rocket or tower side the connection?

From earlier tweets, it was from the quick disconnect hydrogen line. Carryover from the Shuttle Program.

I did. I’m in Cocoa Beach right now getting something to eat. Pretty disappointed like everyone else.

The vibe I was getting from the earlier press conferences was one where they’d talked themselves into a launch in spite of some known issues. Given the “we can’t allow this to fail” approach previously it’s not surprising they got cold feet. There were just too many less than optimum 40-60% problems. They really need to have a complete and successful WDR before scheduling a launch.
