It sound’s almost inhumane. It’ll be interesting to see what roles Starship will play if it ever gets operational..

 

Yes, that would be a great place for an HLS to end up since it can’t return to the earth’s surface. I suppose they might eventually shuttle between leo retanking, gateway, Luna, and back again once they are crew rated. It would need resupply but we already have that in place with more options on the way. How much more payload could be sent on each block 1B if there no crew to account for? Yes the Starships carry more but it takes many launches for each mission. Also, if we ever do get established on the moon we’ll want a way to get everyone back in one ship as demonstrated by the recent Soyuz problem. To me that means maintaining the orbital fuel depot along with a high capacity crew transfer ship. Only an HLS would be able to collect a sizable number of people and bring them back to leo where they could shuttle back to earth with either a single Starship launch or multiple crew dragons and/or whatever else is available. I dunno but I bet somebody’s think about this.

edit- in the meantime look for NASA to recruit smaller astronauts.

Project Kuiper on F9? Will Spacex actually lower the price as promised? Or will they wait until there’s some relevant competition? It doesn’t look like anything else will be available this year. Not Centaur(only 2 of the required satellites) or New Glenn least ways. Tenacity is supposed to be slated for the second Centaur flight but it doesn’t look like they’ll be reusing the engines from the first flight anyway so an entirely new thrust section will be required.

And all those government satellites lost. And even the first one from the Sultanate of Oman. SMH, they should have sent them up on a F9 Transporter mission.

They're rolling back B9 today during the intermittent closure today from 2pm-5pm local.

 

Hopefully to protect if from the B7, S24 orbital launch happening soon (No, it hasn’t been officially announced but EM has said late Feb or March)
