I also enjoy learning new things about the older programs. I recently purchased this book featuring the photos of Bill Taub who became Nasa's official photographer in '62 but the book features photos from his personal collection while working for Nasa during the Mercury program '59-'62. Incredible photos.

I learned that the Mercury 7 had crew quarters in Hangar S where they did testing and also were quarantined pre-launch. My shop moved into a long forsaken Hangar S in 1979 and used it continuously until 2008 when it was torn down.

Yes, if Starliner was on schedule, SpX would be on Crew-3 or thereabouts.

The Ax 1, 2 & I4 would’ve gone on and Polaris Dawn probably wouldn’t have been delayed due to scheduling like it has.

That’s 7. Who knows what other opportunities SpX passed up while taking on the ISS crew rotations like it did?
