The X-15 was the coolest thing when I was a kid. None of this lifting body nonsense, just go super high and super fast.

Back when modeling was a believable reason for a kid buying glue one of my brothers and I built many including that one. Unfortunately none survived our “live action” war games which did tend to leave space available on the shelves for more participants but eventually the games outlasted production.

Even though I expect it to be a formality this time I gotta hear they finished the incident report. It should be an even faster turn around by the FAA but two weeks to a month would be blistering. I think still a month to work up the next Super Heavy but probably longer unless the changes are minimal or just changes in the flight profile. We still have no idea what happened to the ship. If they knew immediately we don’t know if there has been time to make permanent structural changes and test them. Those might not show up in the current crop making do with bandaids like B7 did.
